Exposing each kitten to new people, animals and experiences helps them develop a foundation for a lifetime of positive interactions and behaviors. Kittens that don't experience this rigorous socialization may develop aggression and shy away from human interaction. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the key socialization period for kittens occurs between 3 and 9 weeks of age. That's exactly the time that your kitten is being handled by us and our children, being groomed, introduced to our dog, to the vacuum and to all of the hustle and bustle of an everyday household. By the time that you take them home, your kitten has received all of the love and attention that will set you both up for a lifetime cuddles and wonderful memories.
